Women's wear
Project type
Shenkar X Ronen Chen
Date
March 2024
Location
TLV
This project began as part of a course in collaboration with Israeli designer Ronen Chen—a designer known for his clean, refined, and minimalist aesthetic. His approach has always intrigued me, resonating with my own values and visual language, yet it also felt distant from the expressive and layered world I usually work in.
For this project, I chose to create a personal bridge between Ronen’s minimalist universe and my own identity as a designer—one that moves between masculine and feminine, fitted and oversized, streetwear and elegance.
The theme I chose to explore was hiking wear through a local Israeli lens. Inspired by movement, landscape, and journey, I set out to design clothing that merges functionality with aesthetic value—connecting earthiness with urban restraint. The color palette of the collection draws directly from the trail markers of the Israel National Trail—orange, blue, and white—symbolizing travel, belonging, and a deep connection to place.
Through this process, I discovered my own version of edgy minimalism—rooted in local inspiration, shaped by contrast, and expressed through detail, silhouette, and quiet strength.
